So come June my term as APAA VP Comm will end. It will also mark the end of my 3 years with APAA. It's so sad. I'm wondering how it will be once its all over, I'm going to feel so empty because APAA has come to define who I am. It's wierd but its true! My life has come to revolve around APAA! Everything I do and everything I say... and in everything I think! My mind is always clicking away associating everything with APAA --> like "oh wow this would be really good to promote APAA" or "we should try and get this company to sponsor us" or "oh this is a good job opportunity, better share it with our members." All the time yes! ;) For a major part of the year APAA work > schoolwork lol. I've come to identify myself through APAA! & everyone else I know always associates me with APAA as well! APAA and I have become like a package deal! =p We're like Ben & Jerry, peanut butter and jelly, sausage and ham, beds and bedsheets...lol.
I can't imagine how my university experience would have been had I not been a part of APAA...it almost scares me to think about it lol. I've had the opportunity to work with so many awesome awesome people during my time with the group. APAA has evolved so much! I'm so proud of our growth! It's been so inspiring seeing the changes we've gone through from the time I joined in my second year to the present...our name as changed, we rebranded, we've totally become stronger. I've had just the greatest experience this year...developing our new website from the ground up and having the opportunity to work with the most wicked designer I know! And also had the most brilliant IT guy around! and the greatest Communications team ever ever! including our adopted member (ie stolen from the volunteer team lol). Never going to forget the hours and hours and middle of the nights and break of dawns we spent working on our multitude of projects. Our President this year Marisa is the greatest! The best APAA has ever seen. She has helped me soo much and has been a motivating force and strength to me all year (and last year even!) I've been so fortunate! The entire council this year is just wonderful. Unlike previous years, this year we all just meshed =p
Once June comes what am I going to do? It's going to be so awkward waking up every morning knowing that there will be no APAA emails in my Inbox! I won't have control over our website anymore and I'm just so worried about what will happen in the future...my baby! lol. I know the new council will do an excellent job in continuing what we've built (that calls for good succession planning!! hehe) , but still, it still scares me. lol maybe i'm just like a control freak or something lol. I just know I'm still going to be bugging around and seeing how they're doing and trying to find out how everything is going...lol like a parent who just can't let go....>.<
eeeeek our last event is this week, Dave and Buster's Night. I'm so excited b/c it's one of our most fun events of the year...but I'm so sad b/c its our very last! I'm going to be sooo sad! Our annual D&B always signifies the unofficial end of the academic year... I'm really going to miss everyone. 3 years and this year has been the best, serious. I've never worked with a better team. We've achieved so much this year and I got the chance to meet the greatest people ever during my four years at York. =) Serious, I love you guys and you're never going to stop receiving email messages from me hehehe =) Most everyone is planning to do their CA so maybe we'll end up seeing each other at the CKE or better yet at SOA in the summer! I'm so glad that Alen our wicked awesome VP Ops and I will be at the same company (albeit at different offices but still still very cool! )
*sigh* I'm really looking forward to the future and new beginnings, but you just can't help it...it's going to be kind of hard to let go of the past!
love you guys! <3 APAA! xxx

wow what a deal. i wish i had $236M to buyout a large bank over the weekend:
JPMorgan Acts to Buy Ailing Bear Stearns at Huge Discount
Bear Stearns agreed to be bought by JPMorgan Chase for a bargain-basement price of less than $250 million, or about $2 a share.

hmm what should i do...trying to find a job for the summer. got to make some extra moneys to pay for adventures, but don't know what kind of job I want to do. not really sure if i want to do retail again but it is quite mindless and easy so could be excellent for just random summer job. but goodness working in retail is so annoying...customers can be so ridiculous. and i can't stand being at malls b/c you keep seeing these "teenyboppers" and skankhos and wangsters loitering around...especially at yd. they need to go do something productive (like join AIESEC!! lol) rather than perusing the mall in groups of 10, spending mommy and daddy's moneys, pretending they are ballin' -.- geez.
lol i digress...anywho, we shall see. i wish i could apply for some of the super cool internships i've been seeing posted but too bad they are only open for people returning to school full time in the fall :S they looked so interesting too! i applied for some actg spots...but do i really want to do that with my summer when i have the rest of my life to do actg?? lol =p
i can't wait til it gets warmmm! the weather is just not attributing anything positive to my state!
just 6 more weeks until i am done my undergraduate career! woot woot yahoo?? i'm excited but sad too, but more so excited!!
