ok so i've been slacking with the blogging so here's a mega combo summary of the major june events!
Convocation
i'm officially a york alumus!! woot! fun times. i actually felt sad though during the ceremony! plugged along at the tear glands just a little. lol. so many people there! apparently there were like 1300 graduands! i'm so sad i didn't get to see everyone and take pics with them! i'm so glad suni came though!!! and very happy i got to see andrew and ben! can't believe i am done at york. the other day i was in the atkinson parking lot with igor and started talking about graduating since the big white tent is right next to atk. reminiscing and talking about how convocation will be the close of this chapter of our lives...the closure of the current book we are writing...and starting a brand new fresh book! it's oh so exciting but kind of scary too....you know, like what direction will we take now, browsing through the bookstore...seeing what book to open next. but of course we noted how glad we were to start this new book =) yay for new books!

Relay for Life
yahoo! RFL 2008! our 6th year participating in the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life at Centennial Park! every year is a surprise! this year there was massive thunderstorm!! we camped outside through the rain and thunder! it was pretty intense! unfortunately the strong winds and rain prevented the luminaries from being lit =( we had quite the experience rain and storm proofing our tent! oh my goodness, i've never seen anything more ghetto than our tent-tarp-mini-city!! words cannot describe. despite the ghetto-ness, it was funny as hell putting it up and seeing the "innovation" of my teammates! lol! my luggage was used as a central support for the entire structure! we had random giant tree branches found by omer masking taped to the handle of my luggage, topped with an umbrella (also masking taped), seated on top of a camping chair....to hold up the tarp in the centre of our own "tent city." lol it was so jokes. we ripped up plastic bags to tie down the tarp b/c we had no string or rope!!! lol! talk about resourceful! haha. anywho lol, fun times with omer whom i hadn't seen in the longest time. our pics in the tent were hilarious. it was quite the unforgettable night =)
